Feature and Follow Friday #4

The Feature & Follow is hosted by  Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host  has their own Feature Blog and a new one is picked each week. Make sure you visit BOTH sites for new blogs!

Here's the fun part!!

Q: Tell us about the most emotional scene you've ever read in a book - and how did you react?

I finished the Ruth Chernock Series a couple of days ago and there were several emotional scenes. I think the most emotional was in book one, when Ruth smothered her son after she fed a poison laced soup to her husband. While he sat on the floor dying she calmly sat chatting with him about the poisoned meal and the other murders she had committed. As if all is normal, she places the dead infant beside his father, leaves the room and closes the door behind her. My mouth fell open and stayed open even as I started to read the next chapter.
