The Challenge

Writer's Log. Star date 04302012.  I am somewhere lost between time, organization, writing and the craziness in my head.  Come with me on the voyage I call, The Challenge! (cue Star Trek theme)  I decided to participate in the April Platform Challenge sponsored by My Name is Not Bob blogger Robert Brewer.  It has been an adventure in learning and nothing short of a marathon.

Slacker!

The end of another month quickly approaches and  it gives yet another opportunity to evaluate the progress of my Vision 2012. When I was a child, my great-grandmother would often say the month of March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.  Well, looking over my writing and exercising (or the lack there-of) I would say March came in and "phtt you were gone!" (ode to HeeHaw)

Slacker! Yep, that's me.  It's been way too long since I have posted or done any writing.  I'm a worm! (head hanging)  I have all these great ideas and words floating around in my head (especially when I'm trying to sleep) and I never seem to get them onto a page.  (sigh) I will not kick or beat myself about this, I'll merely pull my head out of the clouds or where-ever it has been lately and try again. To you my fellow slackers I say, "there's always tomorrow where dreams come true, believe in your dreams come what may. There's always tomorrow with so much to do, tomorrow is not far away!" or as the Disney character Dorie would say "just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming, laaaaaaaaa!"

Super!

Today is Super Tuesday.  Super is defined as an article of a superior quality, grade, size, etc (dictionary.com) So does that mean that this Tuesday is the only super day of the week, ever? Or does it mean that Tuesday is only superior every four years, on a cold day in February or March?  In this case, Super Tuesday describes the voting within 10 States to decide the non-incumbent parties nominee for President.  This process, like the electoral college is decided ultimately by delegates.  The person with the most delegates wins and is declared the nominee. He wins the super ice-cream! Too bad, the ensuing battle leading to November will not be as sweet or as good as ice cream.  These educated, successful men will lower themselves to name-calling, dirt-slinging and down-right dirty, class-less behavior.

I have an hour left to vote, maybe I'll pull the lever for Ron Paul, just to shake it up a little bit
