It's a New Year Y'all!

It's the 17th day of the New Year and I am finally posting my goals on the blog.  It took a lot of thought, planning and praying. Let's face it, goals are important and I believe they (goals) should not be done just for the heck of it!

I think my goals need to reflect each aspect of my humanism: body, soul and spirit so I grabbed my handy-dandy notebook and labeled three pages in the following manner: "Physical Goals", "Spiritual Goals" and "Personal Goals." I then divided my personal goals into "Writing Goals" and "Other Personal Goals." These are my personal writing goals.

Writing Goals
  • Write daily for 10 minutes three times a day
  • Write a story weekly
  • Write a poem weekly
  • Complete 1 - 4 books by December
  • Publish 1-4 books by December
  • Improve my blog
  • Host a blog-o-versary extravaganza
After I created the goals I made a second list outlining how I would accomplish the goals.

What are your writing goals for this year?

  1. Those are some pretty awesome goals. I don't think writing 30 minutes with breaks would work for me. I've got a 2 to 4 hour block in the day, and that seems to get two books written a year. (With editing/critiquing/and promotional stuffs wedged between.) Here's hoping your 2014 proves SUPER effective!

    1. I'm not sure how that time will work either it's really an experiment and I will adjust the times as needed. All the best to you for your goals this year!

  2. Truly awesome goals, I'm a goal setter and love that fact you quoted! So true, setting it out to the universe and does something inside that just gets you moving forward! Love it! Happy New Year!

  4. Those are very impressive goals and I hope you meet them. I'm a bit concerned about the amount of time allocated to writing though. Like Crystal, I need more time to write.

Also following you now .. looking forward to seeing you work towards your goals. Damaria Senne at http://damariasenne.blogspot.com ( sorry, struggled with options available to me to provide ID, as the Google account I use routinely is not linked to my blog.)
